Nepal Update #7 – 7.3 Major Quake

Tuesday May 12, 2015, 12:35 pm

Another devastating quake has struck Nepal again – a magnitude of 7.3 centered about 76km east of Kathmandu struck at 12:35 local time today.

Initial reports are stating that at least 54 additional people have been killed and over 1,000 injured – with these numbers surely to rise.

Relief helicopters are being sent to the villages east of Kathmandu, the area which is believed to be hit the hardest, where there are reports of bodies being pulled from the rubble.

People are crowding the streets again consumed by anxiety and panic.

An update from Paul:

I wanted to let you know that I am ok and out of Nepal. Thanks to many of you for checking in. I’ve been on the phone/email with our contacts at the Orphanage, Tathali Village, and local Nepalese families that looked after me. Everyone has been accounted for. They are very scared and need our strength and support more than ever. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
, Paul

As of today, over 8,000 people have died, and 15,000 have been injured since the initial 7.8 quake hit Nepal on April 25 and more than 10% of the countries homes have been destroyed.

The prime Minister Sushil Koirala has called for “courage and patience” and has asked all who have already assisted to “once again extend your helping hand.”

Additional relief plans are being formulated and we will update you as soon as we have more details.

Please help in any way you can at, the Nepalase now need us more than ever.
